TEACHER APPRECIATION

Mr.DeAndrade

By: Anna Orellana, 11th grade

This week’s teacher appreciation post goes to, *drum roll please*... Mr.DeAndrade! Well deserved for all the motivation and joy he brings to class, Mr.D is always there to help so no need to worry. He is very patient and understanding, and this comes in handy when a student needs a little push. He is willing to sit down with any student and do one on one work to make sure that they are on the right track. On top of that, he comes to every class with a great attitude and welcoming smile. His subtle jokes are always something great to listen to as well! Here’s a big thank you to you from the CGS Chronicle for all your hard work and contributions to our community!

TEACHER APPRECIATION

Ms. fortuna

By: Sunaya Nieves, 12th grade
In light of the holiday spirit this week's teacher appreciation goes to Mrs. Fortuna. Mrs. Fortuna is one of many teachers in CGS that watches students grow into the profound seniors we later become. Year after year she’s always there for you whether it be academically, or socially. She is the kind of person who is always honest and pushes you to strive to be the best version of yourself. We’ll always appreciate her and the laughs that she continues to bring to our high school experience!
TEACHER APPRECIATION

Sean sensei

By: Clarissa Garcia, 12th grade
This week’s teacher appreciation shout out goes to Sean- sensei. He has helped a variety of us throughout this school year and we have been fortunate enough to have an amazing teacher like him. Although he was gone for a month, he still managed to help us and write letters of recommendations for a great number of seniors. He took the time out of his busy schedule to continue to help us and answer any of our questions whether big or small. He’s one of the most understanding teachers we know and he never fails to make us laugh. He genuinely cares about his students and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support and kindness he’s shown us all. Sean, thank you for everything that you do for us. Even though we may not show it we genuinely do appreciate everything you have done for us and continue to do for us.

TEACHER APPRECIATION

MR. CASTELLUZZO

By: Sunaya Nieves, 12th grade
This week's teacher appreciation goes out to Mr.Castelluzzo. Even though he isn’t an academics or arts teacher, he’s a teacher of morals and all that life has to offer. Mr.Castelluzzo has never let his students down, he takes the time out of his life to help others at all times and days of the week. He doesn’t fail to seek new ways to make things happen for us, whether that be quickly responding to an email, making connections for us as far as colleges, majors or future career paths. I speak for most when I say that he is the best guidance counselor there is to have, he’s more than just someone who’s there to do his job. He’s here to be a listening ear, a shoulder, and a guiding figure in our lives as we endure in the journey that comes with life after highschool. So a big shout out to you, Mr.Castelluzzo for genuinely loving your job!

Teacher Appreciation

Mrs. Ryan

By: Stephanie Garcia, 12th Grade

This week's teacher appreciation goes to Ms. Ryan. Who better to give this to than the one who makes our health and gym classes fun! Since Ms. Ryan has joined CGS, she has allowed students to have someone to talk to and go for advice. Although Ms. Ryan just became a mother she has always made us as students feel like a part of her family. Ms. Ryan is a great motivator and pushes you to your limits. She has truly added so much joy to many of our lives and is a reminder that we can get through anything. Ms. Ryan we appreciate you so much and are so grateful to have you in CGS! You have truly helped a lot of us with your advice and even your time to just listen to us!

TEACHER APPRECIATION

MRS. Gentile

By: Stephanie Garcia, 12th Grade

In this segment of the CGS Chronicle, we will be writing about why as students we appreciate the teachers we have. Through this segment we want to shout out a different teacher weekly for the efforts they put into making the CGS environment feel like a second home.

For the first week of the CGS Chronicle teacher appreciation as a club we chose Ms. Gentile. As many of you know Ms. Gentile teaches world literature and public speaking to sophomores and juniors. Not only does she allow us as students to be creative and express ourselves in her class but she immediately took the role of being the supervisor for the CGS Chronicle Club when asked. To many of us she has built a safe space where we can be ourselves and go to her for whatever reason. She truly adds so much positivity to the classroom environment and never fails to make someone laugh. Ms. Gentile is a ray of sunshine and we appreciate the efforts she puts into making us feel like her own children. Thank you so much Ms. Gentile for creating a welcoming environment to anyone who walks through the doors of your classroom! We appreciate you so much and we hope you continue to bring such a happy environment to CGS.
